Unlock the full performance potential of the 2.5 tfsi engine with our 100mm to 90mm Downpipe, featuring a 5" oversized 100cell sports catalytic converter that delivers both power and compliance. The dimensions employed on our unique cat will allow a gas flow equivalent to a cat delete pipe whilst remaining completely MOT and road legal. Purpose-built for enthusiasts seeking more than just sound, this downpipe significantly increases exhaust flow and improves turbo efficiency, resulting in quicker spool, increased horsepower, and sharper throttle response. Despite its performance-focused design, the 100cell sports cat has a 40gram loading coat to ensure it's longevity, is underslung for better performance and passes emissions testing with flying colours, making it a true street-and-track solution.
Upgrading to an aftermarket downpipe is one of the most effective ways to enhance engine performance, particularly when paired with tuning. By increasing flow and reducing heat soak, this downpipe not only improves reliability under load but also elevates the overall sound character of your exhaust; sportier and more aggressive especially under boost. It’s the ideal foundation for a full turbo-back setup or a powerful standalone upgrade that delivers immediate, noticeable gains.
As with virtually all of the TFSi engined vehicles, there is very little performance gain to be had from the cat-back system on its own, due to the incredibly restrictive downpipe and twin OEM cats. However, by opting for our unique downpipe and high flow cat which has a pipe configuration of 100mm into 90m, the power potential will massively increase, firstly with an initial 22bhp kinetic, and then once mapped all the way up to a stage 3 and beyond, with figures in excess of 600 bhp achievable (along with suitable hardware...).
