The BCS Powervalve Downpipe & Center delete bundle is the ideal hardware upgrade when considering a power increase as well as a sound enhancement for the 2.0 TSI Engine. This Hardware upgrade delivers an audible uplift in sound, producing a sporty, crisp exhaust tone without unwanted drone. It’s a direct bolt on fitment, mating perfectly to the OEM rear silencer and built for a hassle free installation. As with virtually all the TSI engined vehicles, there is very little performance gain to be had from a Cat back system on its own due to the incredibly restrictive downpipe and Cat directly off the turbo, however by opting for our unique downpipe and underslung high flow Sports cat the power potential will massive increase - firstly with an initial 20bhp kinetic.
Options Breakdown
Thermal Protection comes as standard and you have the option of a Ceramic Coating or a Basalt lava rock Titanium Wrap, Both are excellent at containing heat inside the downpipe and forcing it down into the catalyst away from the engine bay ultimately resulting in cooler engine bay temperatures and greater thermal efficiency inside the catalyst units themselves. The Ceramic Coating is 1000℃ and the Titanium Wrap is 1200℃, the difference is minimal but we'd recommend the Titanium Wrap for Track vehicles.
We also offer 2 downpipe diameter options; a 76mm variant & 90mm variant, Our 76mm Downpipe will allow to tune the 2.0 TSI engine up to 500bhp with our 100cell catalyst, the 200cell catalyst will support up to 450bhp, this is down to our unique 90mm collector directly off the turbo which acts as a funnel and better matches the flame from the turbo resulting in less restriction compared to 76mm directly off the turbo. Our 90mm Downpipe is designed for those want to pushing big power, capable of supporting in excess of 600+bhp with supporting modifications. With no adverse effects to running the 90mm downpipe at lower bhp, what it does do is gives you the future proof if you ever did decide to push more power in the future and prevents you from having to buy a second downpipe if you did decide to down the hybrid turbo route in the future.
Please note: In order to install the downpipe and cat on the MQB platform cars the front subframe will need to be lowered to remove the Oem Downpipe.
